Week 2 Spotlight: If I ruled the world.
While rapper Nas might have penned the lyrics, Hobo Radio addresses the topic “If I ruled the world.” And while Nas (with a little help from Lauryn Hill) focused on black diamonds and pearls, the Brothers Murphy have a slightly different focus.
Brian Murphy’s first act as leader of the free world would involve those who feel the need to talk on their cell phones while slowing down rush-hour traffic or in a movie theater, while Joel has visions of prison death matches and island retirement communities dancing in his head. If that’s not enough, the brothers-from-the-same-mother actually figure out a way to get today’s youth out of the “making tennis shoes in sweat shops” rut and into the Department of Motor Vehicles.
