Week 4 Spotlight: Sam I am.

The phrase “old school” might cause today’s youth to picture Frank the Tank’s pasty white ass or Vince Vaughn throwing a killer frat party, but that’s not what the term is all about. It’s what Hall of Fame linebacker Sam Huff is all about. You know – kickin’ ass and takin’ names.

We’re not exactly sure how it happened, but Brian Murphy has set himself up to periodically spend time at Redskins Park, the home of the Washington Redskins. And while he was standing on the sidelines, observing minicamp on behalf of a fansite, Brian had the pleasure of chatting with one of his childhood idols for an extended period of time.

What did the linebacker who once graced the cover of Time magazine have to say? What the hell does Brian mean when he says “back when men were men and so were the women?” Download this week’s podcast and take a trip down memory lane with one of the baddest men to ever live … or he’ll kill you.

Hey, I was just looking around TPN last night to see if The All American podcast had been updated yet when I saw a thing saying a new show called Hobo Radio had joined and I thought, man that couldn’t be from Hobotrashcan (I didn’t know you guys had recently started a podcast) and then I decided to listen and I realized it was. So I’m really excited that you guys have joined up with TPN and hopefully will keep the show updated unlike another show you guys have been in before (which by the way, is it ever gonna be updated? I really enjoyed listening to it considering I live here in Maryland kinda near you guys). Anyways, I really liked what you had to say on the show and I think it’s pretty cool how you end with a song. So keep up the good work, I’ll be listening.
