Week 6 Spotlight: One man band.
People find it cute when a nine-year-old dreams of one day being a rock star. But for some reason it’s slightly pathetic when a 29-year-old with no musical talents still harbors those same illusions.
It seems that Brian Murphy’s life has changed since a video game and a plastic guitar found their way into his life. Instead of doing chores around the house or paying attention to his loving wife, he can be found in the basement “rocking out” (and we’re being generous) to the tunes of Black Sabbath, White Zombie and Jimi Hendrix in the video game Guitar Hero.
At what point will he realize that a grown man should never play a ukulele-sized plastic guitar? Did he really make a granny and a pregnant woman play his childish video game? Be sure to download this week’s “All-American” podcast to hear Brian and Joel Murphy discuss just how sad the situation has become.
