<description>EMERGENCY!!! To All The Perfect Victim Fans...

Many of you may be wondering, "Who is Jack Left Town and why are they playing The Perfect Victim's songs?" The correct question to ask would be "Why is The Perfect Victim playing songs that Andrew and Clyde from Jack Left Town wrote?" This blog is to try to answer that question for you. I, by the way, am not in Jack Left Town, but I am indeed a friend of Jack Left Town. I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible.

Here's the story... When Andrew and Clyde were part of Captain Scurvey (with 3 members of The Perfect Victim) they were working with two prominent producers, let's call them M&#38;M (yum!). To work with M&#38;M for free, Andrew and Clyde made the rookie mistake of signing over half of the song rights to M&#38;M. Therefore, everything that Andrew and Clyde wrote in M&#38;M's company is now half of M&#38;M's. At the time, it seemed like a great idea because when you're new in this town, being connected with good producers is key. When Andrew and Clyde parted ways with Captain Scurvey, unfortunately they had to leave half the rights of their songs with M&#38;M. This is what was agreed upon after the demise of Captain Scurvey. M&#38;M do have the right to reproduce those songs, as do Andrew and Clyde. So M&#38;M created The Perfect Victim with new members to replace Andrew and Clyde, and Andrew and Clyde created Jack Left Town.

Bottom line. You don't have to pick between The Perfect Victim and Jack Left Town. One thing has to be made clear though, being a fan of both bands. Not a single member of The Perfect Victim had anything to do with the writing of "Emergency" (a cover name for the original name of the song, "Paradise"). They also did not write "Let it Go" or "Make Our (not Your) Stand." The list could keep going with the likes of "Dream Awake" (which is actually called "Over It") or something about "I'm not leaving, without handcuffs" which is originally titled "Call the Police"). There are other songs included in this bunch, at this time, I don't believe The Perfect Victim is playing any of the others. They do have a lot of new songs, and I would hope that they would concentrate on playing their own songs. So, does The Pefect Victim have the right to play Andrew and Clyde's songs? Unfortunately, yes. Is it right (i.e., MORAL)? To me, not so much. To me, and Jack Left Town, the most important thing is for people to know the truth about those songs. It would be sad if The Perfect Victim became successful because of "Emergency," a song that none of them wrote.

Ok, that's it. If you have any questions about this, I'm sure Jack Left Town will answer anything you want. To be clear, I know for a fact that Jack Left Town does not wish any personal harm on any of the members of The Perfect Victim. I have a feeling that M&#38;M may be controlling the decisions about what songs The Pefect Victim pushes and plays. Just my opinion. :)

Sincerely,
