Week 39 Spotlight: Robots in disguise.
Having paid close attention to Hollywood robot movies like Terminator and I, Robot, Joel Murphy is convinced that one day robots will overthrow their human oppressors and kill us all. Needless to say, he isn’t a big fan of robots.
This week, Joel has scanned the headlines and has found three separate robot stories, which he shares with the class. The three stories seem unrelated - a Tokyo manufacturer has created a popular robot toy, another Tokyo company has created a robot that can feel pain and a New York company has created a military robot - but Joel believes that these three stories spell the end of mankind.
